About The Position

Bridges seeks to hire a Testing Coordinator to support our school program. The Elementary School Testing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of standardized testing and assessment activities for students in grades 3-5. This includes organizing test administration schedules, coordinating test preparation materials, staff training and preparation and ensuring compliance with testing regulations and guidelines. The Testing Coordinator will work closely with teachers, administrators, and testing agencies to ensure a smooth and successful testing process. The individual will report directly to the Assistant Principal who serves as the LEA Testing Manager. The individual will be responsible for coordinating the Alternative Assessments in addition to the DC CAPE Assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, educational administration, or related field.
  • Previous experience in education, preferably in a testing or assessment role.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, students, and parents.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Have a passion for urban public schools.
  • Adhere to a high level of professional and ethical standards.
  • All staff members will be fingerprinted.
  • Background checks will be conducted on all school staff prior to their service as employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing schedule for all standardized tests and assessments.
  • Coordinate the distribution and collection of test materials, including coordinating with teachers for distribution and collection.
  • Train and support teachers and staff in administering tests and following testing procedures.
  • Ensure testing facilities meet all necessary state requirements and are conducive to a proper testing environment.
  • Communicate with parents and students regarding testing schedules, procedures, and results.
  • Collaborate with administrators to analyze testing data and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Stay current on testing regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Coordinate accommodations for students with special needs during testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing activities and results.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to testing data.
  • Maintain a relationship with OSSE to ensure all deadlines are met and policies and procedures are followed.
  • Work between 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. when working on-site.
  • Regularly attend work and adhere to all attendance policies.
  • Be on time for duties, team meetings and professional development activities.
  • Read provided school information and adhere to all deadlines.
  • Respond to all emails within 24 hours or the next business day.
  • Other professional duties as assigned.
