Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
  • Experience using multimeters, insulation testers, torque tools, and other electrical test equipment
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and test reporting systems
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous electrical testing, industrial manufacturing, or commissioning experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and system-level testing according to engineering procedures, test scripts, and work instructions.
  • Safely operate meters, power supplies, load banks, diagnostic tools, and other testing equipment to validate system performance.
  • Identify, diagnose, and document electrical or mechanical issues; collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Verify proper installation, wiring integrity, torque values, labeling, and overall build compliance prior to testing.
  • Accurately complete test reports, inspection checklists, redlines, and electronic documentation systems.
  • Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, PPE requirements, and company policies at all times.
  • Ensure testing equipment is within calibration requirements prior to use and report any discrepancies.
  • Follow standardized testing procedures to maintain consistency, reliability, and repeatability of results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and on-time project completion.
