About The Position

Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc. When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. Job Summary: The Integrated Components Division (ICD) designs and manufactures embedded components that enhance machine performance, quality, and safety. Working closely with product groups and business partners, ICD supports current designs—such as seals, gaskets, and isolation mounts —while driving innovation, sustainability, and global availability. All components are engineered with long term serviceability and aftermarket needs in mind. The Test and Validation Engineer for the Seal & Mount Solutions team plays a critical, hands‑on role supporting the engineering team through lab‑based testing, validation, and test method development for seals and isolation mounts. This role is highly lab intensive, with approximately 90% of time spent executing, troubleshooting, and improving component tests using a variety of lab equipment, and the remaining time focused on documentation, planning, and coordination. The position works closely with engineering to ensure robust validation, reliable test data, and continuous improvement of lab capabilities.
