About The Position

The Resource Industries transmission development team in the drivetrain control systems & validation division is looking for a Test & Validation Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of transmission and torque converter control systems for hauling, cycling, and oil & gas applications. You will be provided with the unique opportunity to directly impact machine performance and durability for a variety of drivetrain programs.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering, computer science, or materials science curriculum.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Extensive understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Analytical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems

Responsibilities

Work with design, mechatronics, systems integration, and software engineers to create, develop, and optimize hardware and controls for powershift transmissions.
Planning and executing on-machine control software calibration and validation.
Managing control system development, specifications, and design reviews.
Designing clutch control strategies to meet drivetrain performance and durability targets.
Performing simulation for clutch control systems.
Collecting and analyzing data to understand and optimize controls performance.
