About The Position

Konik is partnering with a local engineering and manufacturing firm seeking a Test & Validation Engineer to support qualification testing of complex mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems. This hands-on engineering role involves using specialized testing equipment, developing and executing test procedures, troubleshooting technical challenges, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve product performance. The role may involve testing at internal or external facilities and travel of up to 15%, including occasional extended testing assignments lasting 2–3 weeks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in physical product testing, engineering validation, or qualification testing.
• Experience with one or more testing disciplines, including environmental, vibration, shock, thermal, or EMI/EMC testing.
• Ability to develop test procedures, configure test equipment or instrumentation, analyze results, and prepare technical reports.
• Must meet applicable U.S. government security clearance eligibility requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%, including occasional extended testing assignments lasting 2–3 weeks.

• Experience with military testing standards, including MIL-STD qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute qualification and validation test procedures for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems.
• Design and configure instrumentation, test fixtures, and equipment to support accurate and repeatable testing.
• Conduct environmental, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and other physical product testing at internal or external facilities.
• Collect and analyze test data, troubleshoot failures, and provide recommendations to engineering teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, reports, and qualification results.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, and testing facilities to coordinate test activities and support product improvements.
