Test Technician
About The Position
This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions. EBAD seeks a Test Technician, reporting to the ATL Test Lead. This is a first shift position located in Moorpark, CA. The Test Technician position supports electrical and mechanical testing of our non-energetic product lines. Duties include: Test evaluation, set-up and performance Equipment preventive maintenance and calibration Test data reporting and plotting Equipment troubleshooting and repair Primary responsibility will be evaluation, set-up and performance of electrical tests, mechanical loading and proofing. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD’s and industry specifications. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. Occasional heavy lifting (25 lbs.) and overtime may be required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Problem solving skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications
Nice To Haves
- Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience working in an aerospace industry
- Experience in a test lab environment with exposure to several of the following areas: Instrumentation/Equipment: Pressure transducers, Multimeters, Milliohmeters, Hipot testers, Pulse Generators, Voltage and Current Supplies, Oscilloscopes (DAQs), Test Equity, Temperature Chambers, Instron Tensile testers
- Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency
- Intron Tensile tester programming (Bluehill Universal Software)
- Watlow F4 and F4T programming
Responsibilities
- Test evaluation, set-up and performance
