About The Position

The ideal candidate will perform a variety of product tests using detailed work instructions, test procedures, and engineering documents to test and troubleshoot technologically advanced parts/products. Duties will include set up and operation of testing equipment, troubleshooting, documenting test results, and physical movement of materials on to and off of testing platforms. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of initiative, strong work ethic, function well under pressure, and maintain a success-oriented attitude while working in teams. Position is on-site in McKinney, TX, working 2nd Shift.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience working as a test technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • U.S. Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and calibrate avionics equipment, SE, and aircraft components.
  • Repair EW systems, sensor systems and components, wiring harnesses and interconnecting cables.
  • Repair amplifier and logic circuits; microwave equipment; servomechanisms; radio frequency circuits; video displays; and power supply circuits.
  • Work with rectifiers and controllers circuitry.
  • Troubleshoot power supply modules and I/O modules to component level by replacing various chips and components that have high fault rate.
  • Use schematics and drawing to troubleshoot electronic circuits.
  • Looked BOM’s to identify failed components, ordered parts and maintained stock.
  • Understand and be able to perform ERP systems (SAP/ETS/Microsoft Access).
