About The Position

MedComp is seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to support the testing and inspection of medical devices and components. This role is hands-on and responsible for performing mechanical product testing, documenting results, maintaining testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, follows procedures with precision, and takes pride in producing accurate and reliable test results. They are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a regulated environment where quality and documentation are critical. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in mechanical testing environment, quality inspection, manufacturing, or other technical environments preferred; training provided for qualified candidates.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English. Able to follow specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing or medical device environment is a plus.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, functional, dimensional, and performance testing of medical devices and components.
  • Set up and operate testing equipment and fixtures.
  • Accurately record and maintain test data and documentation.
  • Identify, document, and report testing anomalies, failures, or nonconformances.
  • Support equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP), cGMP requirements, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to support testing and verification activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
