About The Position

The Test Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production/test environment, line maintenance and/or chemical handling. This position requires technicians to work independently to complete production/acceptance test to interpret pass/fail data to achieve production goals. This position requires lifting, walking, and could involve stair/ladder climbing at the test range(s). This will be a 2nd shift, onsite role in our Forest, MS facility.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience testing electronic circuits and identifying failure trends.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) communications or power systems.
  • Experience with RF System and subsystem (Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Signal/Data Processor, Power Supply) evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment.
  • Observes, analyzes, and reports test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment.
  • Work closely from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings
  • Ability to isolate problems between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the units under test and resolve as necessary.
  • Ability to validate the correctness of procedures.
  • Selects, sets up and operates engineering and scientific equipment.
  • Effectively communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s).
  • Ability to interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to determine pass/fail condition and determine when further analysis is needed.
