About The Position
This SkillBridge opportunity is with Raytheon. RTX is a provider of SkillBridge Fellowship opportunities for transitioning service members to gain an in-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense business from some of the most respected leaders and engineers in the industry. SkillBridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Raytheon seeks a Test Technician will be responsible for conducting tests on electronic and mechanical systems, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, document test procedures, and maintain test equipment.
Requirements
- Must be on Active-Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces
- Must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
- Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
- Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a testing environment
- Experience with testing equipment and software.

- Experience in conducting tests and documenting results.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with engineering teams and document procedures.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional and performance testing on electronic and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test failures to the component level.
- Document test procedures and results accurately.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve test processes and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
- Communicate work status effectively to team members and support staff.
