About The Position

The Test Technician performs functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of products and assemblies using established procedures and engineering documentation. Responsibilities include operating test and diagnostic equipment, completing quality checks, documenting results, and maintaining an organized, safe work area. Ideal candidates can read engineering drawings, use electrical and mechanical tools, and work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. This is a 2nd shift position working on-site at our McKinney, TX location.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working within a Manufacturing environment.
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to assemble equipment.
  • Experience with any of the following: hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
  • Self-directed & action-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment to resolve most questions and problems.
  • Relevant manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction/facilities experience

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow test procedures, engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, bills of materials, and other technical documentation.
  • Operate test equipment, measurement of instruments, hand tools, and electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain inventory of test materials, equipment, and components at assigned workstations.
  • Perform quality checks, identifies defects or test failures, documents results, and reports abnormalities.
  • Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, rework, and repair of products and assemblies in accordance with engineering specifications and test requirements.
  • Perform all testing and troubleshooting activities in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
