About The Position

The Test Technician will be responsible for inspecting electrical wire routing, torquing, and continuity, as well as conducting electrical testing of products. This role involves assisting in troubleshooting test failures, documenting results, and interpreting electrical documentation. The technician will also develop and improve work instructions for electrical tests, participate in training, and support quality-related projects. A key responsibility includes making decisions regarding product quality and pausing production lines when necessary.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years electrical/electronic manufacturing experience is required.
  • Highschool math skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks is required
  • Deliver results accurately and on time while utilizing a strong learning mindset
  • Must be capable of working independently to achieve production schedules and quality goals
  • Effective interpersonal skills involving the ability to work effectively, cross-functionally and cross-culturally
  • Excellent communication skills adaptable to all levels of the organization

Nice To Haves

  • A technical or vocational certificate is highly desired
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and 5S +1 principles highly desired
  • Knowledge of AQL acceptance sampling plans is desired
  • Experience as a Test Technician/Field Service Technician in LV and MV switchgear or similar
  • Proficiency using common electrical tools and instruments: Hi-pot testers, current injection systems, functional tests, Ground tests.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical wire routing, torquing and continuity as required
  • Conduct electrical testing of products as required, including Hi-Pot, Current Injection, Functional tests
  • Assist in troubleshooting test failures
  • Document and record inspection and test results in electronic and hardcopy format
  • Interpret electrical documentation, including electrical schematics
  • Develop and improve work instructions for carrying out electrical tests on Kratos products.
  • Participate in regular procedure training activities in production
  • Provide support for quality related projects, objectives and deadlines beyond the normal job scope
  • Make decisions concerning product quality, including pausing the line when processes do not conform to specification
