About The Position

Tests and troubleshoots a variety of electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, systems, subsystems subassemblies, fixtures, PCBA’s and power control panels in a large scale manufacturing environment. Often performs repetitive duties, can troubleshoot to the component level using a range of electronic and mechanical measurement and test equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED with Technical School diploma.
  • 3 - 5 experience testing systems, PCBA’s assemblies and other devices.
  • Proficient with test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators and other input/output electronic test devices).
  • Has experience working in a clean room and understands the standard clean room protocols
  • Basic understanding of optics, optics assembly and optics testing.
  • Experience in precision assembly, fine pitch soldering and rework
  • Strong attention to detail, focus, and highest standards for quality.
  • Working knowledge of common workmanship and inspection standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610
  • Tests and troubleshoots power panels that use common currents such as 110/115 VAC and 208/480 VAC 3 phase
  • Working knowledge of Product Safety Testing; UL, Intertek
  • Ability to redline existing test procedure and write new test procedures.
  • Good communication skills (English), both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to read and understand diagnostic data.

Responsibilities

  • Uses standard test equipment and written procedures to test electromechanical parts, subassemblies, and finished goods.
  • Works from specifications, technical manuals, schematics and written/verbal instruction.
  • Uses a variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators and other input/output electronic test devices.
  • Comfortable training other technicians and manufacturing personal.
  • Discusses technical problems encountered with supervisor.
  • Compiles and records test results.
  • Performs repetitive duties to test, troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of electro-mechanical products.
