About The Position

The Test Services Team is hiring a hands-on, mechanically minded Function Test Technician to support our Function Team Lead. This role is for individuals who love solving problems, thrive in fast-paced environments, and get energized by technology that matters. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred).
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization.
• Safety mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial.
• Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred.
• Experience in a test lab environment with exposure to Instrumentation, Oscilloscopes, Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners, EBW/HBW Firesets, High Speed Cameras, Watlow Controlled Environmental Chambers.
• Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency.
• Attention to Detail.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Troubleshooting Skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of set-up and performance for Tensile, Drop, Electrical and Function testing.
• Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD’s and industry specifications.
• Test data will be generated to support customer requirements.
• Occasional heavy lifting, travel and overtime may be required.
• Testing in inclement weather may be required.
