Join a hands-on RF test team supporting high-power microwave and vacuum tube technologies used in aerospace and defense. This role performs electrical and RF testing on high-power RF and microwave tube assemblies using specialized test equipment while troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring products meet performance and quality standards. Assemblies may include Klystron tubes, X-ray image intensifiers, and spectrophotometers. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of hands-on electronic, electro-mechanical, or RF testing experience preferred
  • Experience with RF/microwave testing, troubleshooting, and high-voltage equipment
  • Ability to configure and set up advanced RF test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic math and computer skills including Microsoft Office, databases, and time-entry systems
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills across multiple departments and levels of the organization
  • Ability and willingness to support or train junior technicians
  • Ability to obtain Qualified Electrical Worker certification levels as required
  • Must follow high-voltage safety protocols

Nice To Haves

  • AA degree, technical training, electronics certification, or military experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred
  • Holding a security clearance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and RF testing on tubes, assemblies, subassemblies, and components while comparing results to specifications and quality standards
  • Set up, configure, calibrate, and operate specialized RF and electronic test equipment including: Spectrum analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Power meters, High-voltage power supplies
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, assembly drawings, specifications, and block diagrams
  • Troubleshoot RF and electronic performance issues and collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and corrective actions
  • Perform rework, retesting, and validation of nonconforming assemblies to restore products to acceptable operating condition
  • Record, analyze, and maintain detailed test data and documentation in accordance with company and government standards
  • Support improvements to test procedures, fixtures, workflows, and diagnostic methods
  • Follow high-voltage safety protocols, ESD-sensitive handling procedures, and all applicable safety requirements
  • Handle controlled components in compliance with U.S. Government security and export-control requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support production schedules and departmental objectives, including overtime and weekend work as needed
  • Assist with training and mentoring entry-level technicians as appropriate
