Test Technician IV, 1st Shift (Onsite)
About The Position
As a Test Technician IV, you will perform tests to assess conformance with engineering specifications. You will set up testing apparatus and conduct quality assurance/control tests of raw materials, parts, components, finished items, packaging, equipment and systems. You will perform final tests on sub-assemblies or completed units as necessary to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and chemical performance. The scope of work may include but is not limited to strength testing, thermal testing, pyrometry and metallurgic testing. External candidates will receive a sign-on bonus of $3,000
Requirements
- HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to read and interpret technical data
Nice To Haves
- Electrical Technician Certification
- Associates Degree in Electronics
- Prior experience with component level troubleshooting
- Working computer skills and knowledge of office software applications
Responsibilities
- Testing a variety of electronic units using prescribed test procedures
- Setting up and operating various test stands
- Configuring test equipment for special tests as needed
- Interpreting and recording test results
- Recognizing and isolating test equipment failures
- Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level
- Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics
- Effectively communicate work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance)
