About The Position

The Test Technician II takes on complex testing scenarios, performs detailed analysis, and plays a significant role in troubleshooting and resolving issues. This role involves collaborating extensively with engineering teams to improve test procedures and product quality. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field of study.
• 1+ years' experience as a technician or in a related field.
• Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Basic understanding of test concepts and techniques.
• General experience with standard laboratory test, calibration, and other measurement equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree with a focus on Electronics.
• Experience in Linux and Red Hat.
• Familiarity with MIL Standard 810 Test Standards.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
• Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex testing scenarios.
• Perform detailed analysis and reporting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues.
• Improve test procedures based on findings.
• Mentor junior technicians.
• Assist in the development of new testing protocols.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
• Document and report anomalies or deviations during testing.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss test outcomes.
