About The Position

Our client is seeking a Test Technician II to support the testing and troubleshooting of advanced electronic assemblies. This position requires full-time, on-site work due to the hands-on nature of the role. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience testing printed circuit boards in a manufacturing environment, along with strong component-level troubleshooting and hand-soldering skills.

Requirements

At least two years of experience testing printed circuit boards in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on soldering experience.
Ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, RF analyzers, or similar testing equipment.
Ability to obtain soldering certification.
Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong work ethic and the ability to contribute effectively within a team.
At least two years of high school or trade school education.

Nice To Haves

Current IPC-A-610 or J-STD certification.
Completion of J-STD Modules 1, 3, and 6.
Experience testing electronic products within the aerospace and defense industry.

Responsibilities

Set up test equipment and conduct testing of production assemblies and units.
Follow established testing methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
Test and troubleshoot printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies.
Diagnose problems and troubleshoot independently to the component level.
Lay out and assemble units for production equipment according to designs and specifications.
Adjust and calibrate systems as required.
Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components according to diagrams and sketches.
Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts and components.
Perform hand soldering on electronic components.
Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, RF analyzers, hand tools, small power tools, and other measuring and testing equipment.
Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with applicable process-control procedures.
Document test results and communicate issues effectively with team members.
