About The Position

This position is responsible for performing in-process testing, ATP’s, and calibration of product as required by production work orders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must obtain internal test equipment certifications during the first year of employment.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic technical concepts.
  • Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork.
  • Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed.
  • Possess basic computer skills including database software and electronic mail software.
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction, and no color blindness, steady hands with good dexterity. (Company issued annual eye exam.)
  • US Citizens, Permanent Residents or Green Card Holders.

Responsibilities

  • Works in a manner that meets or exceeds established effectivity goals of the facility.
  • Manufactures high-quality products, reducing the need for rework or scrap.
  • Setups and operates automated pressure testing systems to perform testing.
  • Setups and operates manual testing systems to perform testing & diagnosis.
  • Setups and operates manual tension/compression test equipment to perform testing.
  • Utilizes metering instrumentation (e.g., multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.) to obtain data and perform diagnostics.
  • Reviews test data and reports, determines corrective actions, and certifies results.
  • Performs mechanical tasks to install fittings and secures products in testing equipment.
  • Inspects own work and makes adjustments to correct difficulties.
  • Works from detailed drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specifications, to set up tests, performs testing, and interprets test results, to initiate next actions required.
  • Performs data entry for production reporting and attendance; retrieves information electronically.
  • Enters data into PC’s, and other devices, and generates test reports.
  • Ensures proper waste disposal procedures are followed for handling residual and/or hazardous waste.
  • Places waste in the properly labeled container(s).
  • Follows safety procedures, uses proper PPE, attends training, and reports any spills.
  • Works safely, performs required housekeeping tasks, and actively participates in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensures protective guards are used when performing testing.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
