About The Position

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Test Technician! We are seeking a Test Technician I to perform functional testing and troubleshooting of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and higher-level assemblies. In this role, you will identify and diagnose product failures, troubleshoot issues to the component level, and support the delivery of high-quality products that meet established performance and reliability standards. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong technical aptitude and a desire to develop their skills in electronics testing and troubleshooting. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics preferred (A+ or equivalent)
  • 0–2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Understanding of electronic components and circuits, ability to read electronics schematics
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and test documentation tools

Nice To Haves

  • IPC-600, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certification preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform Flying probe (FPT), In Circuit (ICT) or Functional (FCT) tests, of basic to medium complexity products. Operate test stations and follow documented procedures
  • Setting up basic to medium complexity test fixtures/environments for their use or for test operators
  • Verify the calibration status, if required, of the equipment in use
  • Use electronic test equipment, like DMM, PSU, programmers etc. to perform assigned tasks
  • Train and support junior team members, as required
  • Troubleshoot to the component level the failures identified by the test operators and other test technicians within the test fixtures or other suitable setups
