About The Position

The Test Technician III will be responsible for performing routine and varied tasks to ensure that production standards are met. Sets up, calibrates, tests and troubleshoots assembly configurations. The Test Tech will set up the test stands and will conduct environmental stress screening tests of production assemblies and units following procedures, standards, and calibrates/normalize systems as needed. Modifies the test configuration by adding, removing, or altering modules as defined by predetermined configurations and procedures. Replacing modules as directed by Engineering by using hand tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures such as E-Logs. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, hardware specifications, schematics, or written work instructions
  • Working knowledge of electronic theory and components
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze failures using electronic test equipment and software.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive toward departmental and company goals

Responsibilities

  • Performing routine and varied tasks to ensure that production standards are met.
  • Setting up, calibrating, testing and troubleshooting assembly configurations.
  • Setting up test stands and conducting environmental stress screening tests of production assemblies and units following procedures and standards.
  • Calibrating/normalizing systems as needed.
  • Modifying the test configuration by adding, removing, or altering modules as defined by predetermined configurations and procedures.
  • Replacing modules as directed by Engineering by using hand tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
  • Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures such as E-Logs.
  • Test electronic and electro-mechanical units using standard and RF test equipment.
  • Analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
  • Follows complex test specifications, test procedures and verbal instructions in order to perform a variety of routine standard tests.
  • Diagnoses minor deficiencies in equipment and recommends rework where necessary.
