About The Position

Engineered Test Systems (ETS), a Barbee Company, is a trusted partner in high-quality test stands and equipment for many different industries and most prominently the oil and gas industry. We specialize in providing precision-engineered solutions that are designed to meet the demanding needs of engineers working in very niche applications. The Test Stand Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling Portable Test Units and supporting the fabrication and assembly of Custom Test Stands as required. This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment. Candidates with experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or plumbing-related fields are preferred.

  • Effective communication skills with supervisors, engineering, and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble Portable Test Stand units using tube benders, swage tools, and various hand and power tools.
  • Support Custom Test Stand fabrication and assembly projects as assigned.
  • Operate hand and power tools, including but not limited to wrenches, grinders, sanders, skill saws, drills, and drill presses.
  • Assist in the construction of shipping crates and packaging for large Test Stand orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; support general warehouse organization and maintenance as needed.
  • Perform material pickup, delivery, and internal material movement as required.
  • Follow established safety procedures, quality standards, work instructions, drawings, and company policies.
  • Accurately complete assigned work to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineering, and other departments to support project execution.
