Test Solutions Engineering Integrated Product Manager
About The Position
This position is for a Principal Systems Engineer with at least 8 years of professional engineering experience. If you enjoy working and leading hands-on multidiscipline teams, the Test Solutions Engineering Center (TSEC) is interested in hearing from you. The TSEC organization within RTX drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering services across product lines and functions. Test Solutions (TS) products are in engineering labs, in the field, and in factories and production testing environments utilized for testing weapon system products. TS has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and post-production sustainment. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time position as Principal Integrated Product Manager, located onsite in Huntsville, AL. This position requires leading a team of multi-discipline engineers, providing schedule and technical and execution oversight, and managing multiple projects for a program. If you enjoy project management, creating the execution schedule for your project, understanding and owning the financial and Earned Value elements of running a tea, partnering with other functional organizations, and establishing strong relationships with the program office and customer, this is the job for you! You will be responsible for driving to completion multiple stages of test product engineering development and will be responsible for maintaining the cost, schedule and technical aspects of your assigned projects. This position will be supporting SM3 IB. The SM‑3 Block IB missile uses a kinetic kill vehicle designed to destroy short- to intermediate‑range ballistic missiles using the “hit‑to‑kill” technique, where the interceptor’s kinetic energy destroys the target without an explosive warhead.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years’ prior relevant experience
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Program management.
- Experience with Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, product qualification environments.
- Experience with program management tools such as EVMS, Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management.
- Experience with budget, schedule, Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, and financial performance report generation with Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering programs.
- Experience with Budget Change Request (BCR) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation for Test Systems Engineering programs.
- Experience in managing teams
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Nice To Haves
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- EVMS certification, Program Management certification, or equivalent to Raytheon PM Level 6 certification
- Demonstrate IPTL experience showing the ability to collaborate with program office, cross-functional teams, and internal/external customers.
- Strong influential communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present analytic and performance results from program to functional leadership.
- Experience in small/medium program execution
- Demonstrate understanding of engineering development, transition to production, production, and maintenance.
- Experience with proposal capture and contract processes from receipt of RFP, preparing Basis of Estimates, proposal submittal, preparing Statements of Work, contract startup and contract close-out.
- Experience with all the functionalities of Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT).
- Agile Methodologies understanding.
