The TQC Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, compliance, and performance within an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for performing detailed inspections, executing acceptance test procedures (ATP), and validating product conformance to engineering and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in GD&T, CMM operation, and FAA-regulated environments, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues through precise inspection and documentation.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in quality inspection within aerospace, defense, or electronics manufacturing environments
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
  • Hands-on experience operating CMM equipment
  • Experience using Keyence measurement systems (e.g., IM Series, optical/vision inspection systems) for dimensional verification
  • Experience executing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and documenting test results
  • Proficiency using inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments
  • Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and multimeters
  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation requirements
  • Experience with MRB processes, non-conformance reporting, and CAPA methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and ensure compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and documentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts or overtime as required to support production schedules or testing cycles
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to sit for an extended period
  • Due to U.S. export control laws and defense contract requirements, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (safety-sensitive position under FAA regulations)
  • Maintain a clean drug and alcohol testing record throughout employment

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience operating CMM equipment (PC-DMIS or similar preferred)
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and/or repair station environments strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP and QMS systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor, Agile, Jira) preferred
  • Technical degree or certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of assemblies and components to ensure conformance to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to verify dimensional compliance
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision measurement equipment to perform detailed inspections
  • Execute and document Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and functional testing per established requirements
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Keyence measurement systems
  • Conduct electrical, mechanical, and functional testing of RF amplifiers, PCBAs, and related subassemblies
  • Identify, document, and disposition non-conforming material (NCMRs) and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Accurately complete inspection reports, test records, and work order documentation
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
  • Support internal and external audits, including FAA and AS9100 compliance requirements
  • Maintain inspection and test equipment, ensuring calibration and readiness at all times
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
