About The Position

Irby Tool & Safety is offering an entry-level opportunity in its Electrical Test Lab. The Test Lab Technician receives hands-on training and performs manual and clerical duties related to testing electrical safety equipment, including receiving, cleaning, inspecting, testing, and shipping equipment. The role involves safely operating equipment, monitoring materials as they move through testing, and managing inventory.

Requirements

• Proficient English reading, writing, and communication skills to perform essential functions, follow safety procedures, understand work-related instructions, and complete required documentation.
• Basic computer operation skills.
• Ability to safely lift packages and objects sometimes exceeding 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to stand for most of the day.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment used to test and prepare materials.
• Receive, clean, inspect, and test electrical safety equipment used to protect utility workers and electricians.
• Monitor the status of materials in various phases of testing and manage inventory efficiently.
• Ship equipment.
