About The Position

Responsible for the completion of Engineering tests originating from ATS or our customers. This position will require hands on testing and technical support of testing, product development, and applications engineering.

Requirements

• A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF POST HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION IN A TECHNICAL FIELD. IT IS POSSIBLE TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT WITH EQUIVALENT INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE AS EVALUATED BY MANAGEMENT.
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering specifications with regards to temperature, flow, pressure, and force.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and translate to hand fabrication of components.
• Ability to use quality measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.)
• A working knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and hands on ability.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with engineers and technicians.
• Flexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as required.
• Flexibility to travel as required (0 to 4 times per year).
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Self starter and ability to work independently in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conducting test setups, installing instrumentation, operating test equipment, and monitoring test equipment.
• Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports.
• Use of computer software and hardware to conduct tests on mechanical products and systems.
• Fabricates test and control equipment, including product test fixtures.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting to support test objectives and test equipment.
• Keep instrumentation and equipment properly calibrated and maintained.
• Maintain a clean organized work area.
• Assist with testing tasks as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
