About The Position

This internship provides an opportunity to learn the product development process and apply design efforts on your own project. Interns will document design and testing throughout each phase of the project. The role involves providing engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers on existing projects, utilizing knowledge and skills in the engineering discipline. This position is designed for individuals who can perform technical work that does not require previous experience. The intern will work independently as well as with a team and will complete a summer-end internship presentation. Demonstrated understanding of Aerostar's guiding principles is expected. The intern may be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years towards a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel is required.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, without close supervision.
• Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
• Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Nice To Haves

• Hands on experience in manufacturing, testing, and/or lab settings are highly desired.
• Familiarity with one or more of SolidWorks, Matlab, or Python desired.
