Test fire GLOCK production firearms and assist in assembly line operational activities according to the Test Fire Operator’s essential duties and responsibilities. The position is available on the 1st shift, from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves coordinating with assembly lines to ensure timely test firing of qualified production firearms while adhering to safety and internal quality specifications. Maintaining a high level of safety and cleanliness in the production range and assembly area is crucial, along with extensive knowledge of safe firearm handling and emergency procedures for malfunctions. The operator will manage targeting equipment and systems, confirm proper test fire equipment usage, and ensure accurate calibration of range equipment. Assistance with hand test firing, assembly lines to meet goals, and final assembly visual/functional checks may be required. Communication with supervisors and line leads regarding potential issues affecting product quality or safety is essential, as is accurate documentation. The role also supports LEAN activities, including 5S principles and continuous process improvement based on KAIZEN principles. Compliance with legal, company, ISO, OSHA, and Environmental Protection regulations, along with maintaining up-to-date knowledge through continuing education, is expected. Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to learn new methods are necessary. Consistent attendance and a flexible work schedule are also required.
