Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Engineering Manager 3 for the Sentinel program, located in Roy, Utah. This role involves managing a department within the Test Engineering organization, reporting to the SDS Test Engineering Director. The selected candidate will set operating objectives and provide mentorship to Functional Home Room (FHR) Section Managers, offering oversight and assistance to multiple programs within the Division portfolio (Sentinel/GBSD, ICBM Sustainment and Advanced Programs). Responsibilities include managing planning, risk, project performance, addressing schedule and technical quality, and resolving technical or operational problems. The role also involves developing and maintaining talent within the organization, interacting with equivalent level managers, and acting as a systems thinker to influence positive change aligned with business strategies. The successful candidate will lead the Flight Vehicle Test Department team, focusing on setting a vision, building a high-performing team, driving execution, leading with courage, responding to challenges with resilience, and acting with speed. Key responsibilities include excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, collaboration with senior management, ownership of people, processes, and tools, accountability for recruiting and retaining talent, supporting proposal work, leading improvements in employee engagement and development, mentoring section managers and employees, reviewing engineering change data, instilling process excellence, interpreting organizational policies, leading special projects, and advising staff on schedules and technical/operational problems.
