About The Position

As a Test Engineering Intern based at Rocket Lab’s site in Stennis, Mississippi, you will have the opportunity to learn about the Archimedes Engine test operations on-site as well as actively participate as an operator by supporting engine rebuilds, test readiness, and hardware swaps. The Test Operations team manages the activation and operation of test facilities for the Archimedes rocket engine, collaborating with propulsion teams to develop test procedures and sequencing and ultimately enabling the path to launch our Neutron vehicle.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
GPA of 3.0 or above
3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027

Nice To Haves

GPA of 3.5 or above
6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
Experience with Soildworks, MATLAB, and SiemensNX
Python and Java experience
Proficient in Computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/ CAM)
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing experience
Experience working with pressurized systems
