About The Position

Job Summary: Provide support to NSWC Dahlgren H20 for AN/SQQ-89 testing at integrator location (Lockheed Martin/Manassas VA) for domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) systems. Essential Responsibilities: Write and execute test cases that will exercise both the SQQ-89 system as well as its external interfaces including but not limited to AWS, VLS, TSP, and Radar Document issues observed with SQQ-89 and its external interfaces with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce Review system documentation and requirements and provide technical input to the Systems Engineering team. Review issues from the Fleet Support team and re-create the issue in the lab for Witness installing the SQQ-89 system ensuring the SVD is following and providing redlined changes as needed Work with the system Integrator's automated test team to design automated test scripts Travel approximately 10% of the time

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with seven (7) years of systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems; or
  • US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E6 level or higher with four (4) years of systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems; or
  • Ten (10) years of systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in testing and test analysis of systems or software for surface ship weapons control and C2 systems.
  • Performing test activities including developer/capability level testing, functional level testing (FQT/Verification and Validation), software/system integration testing, or AEGIS combat systems integration land-based testing.
  • Using simulators in a test environment.
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Confluence).
  • Experience with ASW fire control system (e.g., AN/SQQ-89).

Responsibilities
