About The Position

The Test Engineer serves as a technical lead within the R&D Laboratory, supporting new product development, environmental qualification, and product validation activities. The Test Engineer serves as a technical interface between Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management. The Test Engineer develops and implements test methods, equipment, and processes to verify product compliance with design, manufacturing, and customer requirements, ensuring consistent product quality, reliability, and manufacturing readiness.

Requirements

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, instrumentation, and engineering test software.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.
  • Working knowledge of DO-160 and aerospace qualification methodologies.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or automated test system development.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods through testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing.
  • Leads the testing of diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
  • Coordinates the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
  • Ensure that programs are in compliance with standards for good laboratory practices, good manufacturing practices, and/or good clinical practices.
  • Responsible for setting the parameters and testing customer samples.
