The Test Engineer is responsible for conducting and documenting engineering tests to verify and validate product performance, reliability and safety, and compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Experience in engineering testing preferred
Experience with measurement equipment and instrumentation preferred
Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data
Strong technical writing skills, including preparation of test reports
Ability to safely operate and maintain laboratory and test equipment
Must be able to work overtime, as required.

Responsibilities

Conduct product testing in accordance with series of standards and test protocols applicable for wheelchairs
Interpret standard requirements and translate them into appropriate test methods and fixtures
Develop and maintain test fixtures, test equipment, instrumentation and data acquisition systems used for product testing
Analyze test data and evaluate results against engineering specification and acceptance criteria
Investigate test failures and product issues using root-cause analysis
Prepare clear and technically accurate verification and validation test reports
Coordinate and support testing performed by external laboratories and certification agencies
Collaborate closely with R&D to develop test procedures and test protocols.
