About The Position

The Test & Measurement (T&M) Test Engineering team designs, assembles, and validates test solutions to be used in T&M Manufacturing facilities to test T&M products at various stages of their assembly process. We are seeking a Test Engineering intern who will work with our Test Engineers to assist with the design of these automated test systems.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Nice To Haves

• Prior Emerson Intern/Co-op Experience
• Understanding of high-level programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW, TestStand, Python)
• Understanding of analog signal considerations
• Understanding of sources of measurement error
• Understanding of appropriate selection of instrumentation
• Understanding of statistical analysis of data
• Understanding of integration of hardware and software
• Hands-on experience with electronic hardware
• Experience with high frequency circuit design, RF and wireless communication is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Designing or revising custom printed circuit boards to be used in a test fixture
• Developing production test code for the next generation of NI products
• Qualifying instruments for use in a Test application to be deployed to Manufacturing
• Analyzing production test data to look for trends which indicate the health of the product and/or test solution
