About The Position

OTSI (Object Technology Solutions, Inc) has an immediate opening for a Test Engineer 3. This is an onsite role where the Test Engineer will perform client and enterprise system build-outs at scale, identifying opportunities for efficiency gain and/or process improvement. The role involves documenting completed work with detailed performance logs and build procedures, managing inventory of components for lab systems, and assessing the health of equipment and test runs. The Test Engineer will execute daily/weekly test cases using internal automation or vendor software and possess experience and passion for client or enterprise PC components and systems.

Requirements

• Knowledge of our test infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NVMe and other industry specs.
• Knowledge of Client internal device specs.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong experimental design skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experienced python development or equivalent interpreted language.
• NVMe storage protocol.
• OCP 2.0 or other enterprise storage spec.
• Comfort in a Linux operating environment.
• Technical writing skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Customer-first mentality.
• Prior storage experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs client and enterprise system build-outs at scale, identifying opportunities for efficiency gain and/or process improvement.
• Documents completed work with detailed performance logs and build procedures.
• Manages inventory at scale of components that contribute to lab systems.
• Assesses the health of equipment being built and test runs being executed, proactively calling out any perceived issues while offering creative solutions.
• Executes daily/weekly test cases using internal automation or vendor software.
• Performs first level triage of test failures.
• Applies strong problem-solving and experimental design skills.
• Minimizes variables in retest to isolate specific fail modes.
