About The Position

This student will be a major contributor to the process of gathering performance data for ESTAT Actuation's electroadhesive brakes and clutches. They will play pivotal roles in the development and use of laboratory test stands and data analysis. While coding is a natural component of the job, this student should have hands-on experience working with electrical systems.

• Gathering performance data for electroadhesive brakes and clutches.
• Development and use of laboratory test stands.
• Data analysis.
• Test fixture design.

• Wiring diagrams.
• MATLAB.
• Python / Embedded C.

• Test the newest electroadhesive clutch.
• Assist with patent drafting.
• Machine parts in our machine shop.
• Perform statistical analysis.
• Program a robotic test stand.

• Visit a supplier’s factory.
• Draft CAD models.
• Perform FEA.
• Represent the company at a major conference.
• Visit an Air Force Base for acceleration sled testing.
