Our team is looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing team supporting the development of mission critical applications for the Intelligence community. This role supports a hybrid schedule and requires presence in Centreville, VA 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or product testing. Additional experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI is required
  • Understanding of the different types and categories of software testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to apply a variety of tools and techniques to verify complex business processes via manual, automated, and semi-automated test cases
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic that works well with others and who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Well versed with Linux, VMWare, and Microsoft Windows
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with Confluence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL commands and queries
  • Experience working with testing web apps
  • Experience and familiarization with the space situational awareness domain
  • Experience automating regression tests and working within software testing frameworks
  • Experience with test automation using Selenium is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans and procedures to ensure software meets agreed upon expectations
  • Ensure test plans and procedures provide adequate test coverage for functional tests
  • Test execution and report the progress to the team and product owners
  • Coordinate with engineers to identify and report issues
  • Defect testing and management
  • Responsible for deploying builds for testing
  • Responsible for testing in multiple environments
  • Manage associated test artifacts and support government test events
  • Must be able to work in a cross functional team
  • Support client testing events such as Development Test (DT) and Operational Testing (OT)
  • Provide testing updates to the team and upper management
  • Prepare reports for internal and external use
  • Participate in SAFe planning and execution
