As a Test Engineer at Lam, you'll design and implement efficient testing methods for product development and manufacturing, improving quality and reducing cycle time. You'll perform diagnostic tests, design test features and equipment, and create detailed specifications for new products. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics, 2D/3D models, technical data sheets
  • Understanding of software/firmware applications, communications

Responsibilities

  • Provides hands-on test engineering support to the pilot manufacturing floor during swing shift hours, Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
  • Supports efficient production, rapid issue resolution, and successful product builds.
  • Develops, maintains, and improves manufacturing process documentation, including creating and updating visual work instructions in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Drives continuous improvement in test processes by implementing solutions that reduce cycle time, improve labor efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Supports the deployment of hardware and software test solutions, including scripting-based automation, for the testing and characterization of complex electromechanical assemblies.
  • Provides direct on-site troubleshooting and technical support to swing shift manufacturing operations, resolving production and test-related issues quickly to minimize downtime and keep build schedules on track.
