We’re on the hunt for a Test Engineer on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office. The test engineer will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop state-of-the-art test stations to automate the production of geostationary or constellation antennas. You will be part of a specialized test team to ensure that once in orbit, antenna performance meets customer requirements and delivers the communications service required for the mission.

Requirements

• BSc. or equivalent in electrical engineering or physics.
• The candidate must have a background in electrical engineering or physics with a strong foundation in electromagnetics or microwaves, as well as good programming skills.
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Motivated individual with a sense of initiative, good team coordination skills and a desire to improve test techniques

Responsibilities

• Interface with design team
• Analysis of test requirements
• Definition of test methods and techniques
• Definition of test and test data processing resources
• Drafting of test plans, procedures and reports
• Development of software applications and automatic RF test and measurement procedures
• Coding and validation of test sequences
• Test follow-up and operations support according to required specialization: RF in PIM, Nearfield or Compact Test Range, RF in Active Electronics, Burn-In, Power in Electronic Power Converters, Metrology in flight unit alignment, Mechanics for thermal testing
• Planning and coordination of test activities and team of technicians.
