About The Position

The Ninja Product Test Department's role is to ensure our customers get the highest-reliability products possible through extensive testing during product development. This role is responsible for owning all testing activities for one or more products in development. The Test Engineer will support the Test Manager in defining testing needs, ensuring test activities are properly executed, and reporting results. Opportunities include designing and building new test fixtures, developing new methods for data collection and analysis, and reporting testing status to product teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's (or higher) degree in an engineering field.
Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or scripting including Python.
Technical mindset and ability to work with hands (builder or tinkerer).
Ability to clearly document testing expectations for US and China resources.
Strong ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Willingness to learn new lab equipment.
Basic understanding of statistical methods.
Clear written communication skills, especially in documenting work.
Competency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Nice To Haves

0-3 years of experience in engineering within the CPG industry.

Responsibilities

Own all testing activities for assigned products with guidance from management.
Create comprehensive test plans including protocols, data collection, and pass/fail criteria.
Coordinate testing needs with US and China-based test team resources.
Design, set up, and execute product tests, including physical products and potentially software validation, under supervision.
Identify and help implement opportunities to automate product testing.
Create test protocols for effective and efficient testing.
Perform black box testing to ensure proper consumer user experience.
Organize and report test results to management and product teams.
Order necessary materials and equipment for testing.
Learn to use new test equipment and document test protocols.
