Test Engineer

About The Position

GCyber LLC, is seeking a Test Engineer, to support a high-visibility federal government customer in Washington, DC. You will be part of a QA/QC team that includes a Senior Test Engineer and a Test Lead, working together to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of enterprise applications across classified and unclassified networks. As the Test Engineer, you will: Develop and execute automated and manual test cases for web applications across .NET, SharePoint, and React/Node.js platforms Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT, and cross-browser/device testing to ensure application quality across environments Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria, improve testability, and contribute to unit test coverage Document test artifacts and manage defect tracking in Jira and Confluence with clear reproduction steps and evidence Support accessibility (Section 508), load testing efforts, and Agile processes including standups, grooming, and release planning Assist with QA/QC reporting for biweekly product reviews, including defect metrics, test pass rates, and coverage statistics.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • IAT II certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
  • Hand-on experience with automated testing using Selenium, Cypress, or a similar browser automation framework
  • Proficiency writing test scripts in JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience with manual test case design, execution, and defect tracking
  • Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies and tools such as Jira
  • Strong written communication skills – ability to write clear test plans, bug reports, and acceptance criteria

Responsibilities
