About The Position

Serve as the project key member for all autonomous vehicle (AV) testing solutions and development projects. Plan and prepare complex resources (vehicles, drivers, tire samples, measurement equipment) for both standard and autonomous testing protocols. Develop and update specialized test procedures that account for the unique load profiles and driving behaviors inherent to self-driving systems. Utilize Matlab and Python to maintain tools, interpret vehicle sensor data, and analyze CAN bus communication. Create and maintain KPI dashboards using data visualization programs to track departmental performance and data quality. Maintain all calibration standards and supporting documentation to ensure absolute data reliability across all test methods and maintenance of Quality management systems. Lead corporate projects and present technical results to internal stakeholders. Represent Continental in career fairs, collaborations with universities for internships/projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Robotics preferred)
  • 2+ years of automotive testing experience
  • Proven track record in autonomous systems or advanced vehicle dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Matlab and Python.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau / Power BI).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted; ability to sit or stand for 8+ hours per day in a testing environment.

  • Masters Degree
  • 5+ years of testing experience with a proven track record in autonomous systems or advanced vehicle dynamics.
  • Experience with CAN bus communication and vehicle sensor data logging.
