About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate, accomplished team of test engineers and test technicians, you will help design, test, and improve a wide variety of tests to meet Blue Origin's program requirements for various spaceflight systems. You will gain hands on experience operating different pneumatic, hydraulic, and cryogenic test systems. As a test engineer you will take on a critical role by contributing to test operations in a high rate manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills and commitment to safety and quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, or Electrical Engineering
  • 1 year of experience in a testing environment
  • 1 year of experience in executing test procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work independently
  • Technical fundamentals in fluids and pressure system components
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering standards, technical requirements and engineering drawings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel to other Blue Origin locations
  • Schedule flexibility to meet engine deliveries
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Rocketry experience through internships, club activities, or jobs
  • Cryogenic experience
  • Experience designing, fabricating, or operating fluid systems
  • Experience in GD&T
  • Experience in assembly of rocket engine components
  • Knowledge and experience using instrumentation including pressure transducers, thermocouples, accelerometers, and flow meters
  • Hands on experience with integrating test articles and sub-assemblies for test
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, WinPlot, python, or other control / data acquisition and data review software
