About The Position

The purpose of the role is to design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improving testing processes and methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability. The Assistant Vice President (AVP) role involves advising and influencing decision-making, contributing to policy development, and taking responsibility for operational effectiveness. This includes collaborating closely with other functions/business divisions, leading a team performing complex tasks, and setting objectives and coaching employees. For individual contributors, the role involves leading collaborative assignments, guiding team members, identifying new directions for assignments/projects, and consulting on complex issues. The role also requires performing work closely related to other areas, understanding how areas coordinate, and collaborating with other areas of work to stay updated on business activity and strategy. It involves complex analysis of data from multiple sources, creative problem-solving, and communicating complex information to influence or convince stakeholders. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of automation frameworks, object-oriented programming, and CI/CD integration.
  • Deep understanding of middleware, databases, and distributed systems.
  • Expertise in authentication protocols, security controls, and password vaulting strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of logging, monitoring, and performance tracking frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of SSL/TLS, networking, and load balancing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization, batch scheduling (TWS), and orchestration of test execution.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise middleware and ETL frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of credit card offer management workflows, content validation, and automation of end-to-end campaign delivery.
  • Skill in data visualization and test reporting practices.
  • Experience with Selenium and Playwright for web applications.
  • Experience with Rest Assured for APIs.
  • Experience with Java (Maven) and Node.js.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Test Engineering.
  • Experience with Active-Active, RHEL 7→8, Tomcat 8→9, AMQ 6→7, Kafka→AMQ, Oracle 19c DB migrations.
  • Experience with TIAA migration to bearer token, BAM migration from LDAP, PACER password remediation.
  • Experience with eSaaS Kibana clusters, AppDynamics migrations, CDT→MOM, AOPM.
  • Experience with Akamai onboarding for DDOS L7 protection, and LTM-level cert updates.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for complex web applications using Selenium and Playwright, and for APIs using Rest Assured.
  • Build and maintain reusable automation utilities using Java (Maven) and Node.js to validate infrastructure and application migrations.
  • Validate authentication and identity management migrations through automated test coverage utilizing Rest Assured.
  • Automate validation for monitoring and observability systems using Selenium.
  • Implement using Groovy based Jenkins jobs automated testing of certificate renewals, Akamai onboarding for DDOS L7 protection, and LTM-level cert updates.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and platform engineering teams to integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/Chef/Docker.
  • Design automated test strategies for data pipelines, schedulers, and middleware to ensure reliable system integrations.
  • Validate enterprise marketing platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and the Marketing Offer Management (MOM) tool.
  • Develop Kibana/Splunk, TeaLeaf and App Dynamics dashboards and reporting utilities to track automation execution and defect metrics.
  • Apply security, compliance, and risk management to automate validation of ORAC vulnerability fixes to ensure banking systems meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
  • Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
