The Test Development Engineer position within the Integrate Systems Business Unit is responsible for developing and sustaining high‑volume production test solutions for Automotive UWB SoCs using ATE hardware and software, partnering with design and product engineering to define test plans, RF/DC measurement methodologies, calibration flows, and manufacturing documentation across global test sites. This is a onsite position where the expectation is to be onsite in our Greensboro NC office.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (required).
  • 2+ years of experience (or an equivalent amount of an advanced degree and experience) in the semiconductor/RF industry
  • Self-starter with a track record of driving complex projects to closure.
  • Project-level software development experience using Python and C, C++, C#.
  • Proficiency with RF and general lab test equipment, including RF signal sources, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers (VNAs), oscilloscopes, noise figure analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
  • Understanding of RF test and measurement methodologies, including spectrum analysis, network analysis, complex modulation/demodulation, noise figure, and DC measurements.
  • Hands-on experience measuring key RF performance metrics such as gain, P1dB, IP3/IP2, ACPR, EVM, efficiency, harmonics, switching speed, return loss, and noise figure.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing production test solutions on ATE platforms such as LTX/Credence, Teradyne, Aeroflex, and National Instruments.
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools such as JMP or Spotfire.
  • Familiarity with connectivity standards such as UWB, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, and/or Bluetooth.
  • Working knowledge of common hardware/software interfaces and protocols, including TCP/IP, GPIB, I2C, MIPI, SPI, and JTAG.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with test, design, and product engineering to develop and release high‑volume production test plans for fully integrated UWB SoCs and RF front‑end modules.
  • Define RF and DC measurement methodologies to ensure required parameters are tested accurately and efficiently in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
  • Develop and maintain ATE test software primarily on Diamond‑x systems, leveraging custom loadboards/Lego cards and production test fixtures.
  • Characterize device and test performance over temperature to support qualification and release activities.
  • Create and maintain test and calibration documentation, and perform GR&R/ANOVA studies to ensure production test capability and results remain within allowable limits.
  • Support RF fixture and/or probe card design activities, including PCB design/layout, test socket selection/design, and interface cabling definition.
  • Provide technical support to multiple global test sites for prototype bring‑up, NPI, and high‑volume production testing.
  • Apply Lean principles and lead continuous improvement action plans (A3) to improve test efficiency, quality, and cost.
