About The Position

Peraton is hiring a Test Coordination Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical High Performance Computing (HPC) program of national importance. This cutting-edge program encompasses everything from HPC test planning and execution, to architecture design, prototyping, and vendor collaboration. Technical areas span commercial cloud technologies, HPC, and enterprise architecture directly supporting the success of U.S. national security objectives. This is an opportunity to be part of a high-profile, tactically important program, where your contributions are directly recognized for their impact. This is a government-contracted Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) role in which the selected systems engineer will serve as the central, active facilitator of contractual and programmatic test events by driving communication, streamlining information reception, and removing dependencies across multiple Government teams and vendors. They will be assigned one or more high-visibility, staggered test events to concurrently coordinate, spanning the full test life-cycle of the test event, and will provide timely status updates to Government Leads (Agile Release Train (ART) Leads, Project Directors, CORs, etc.).

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general systems engineering experience, OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience, OR
  • A Master’s degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Polygraph must have been completed in the last 5 years.
  • A basic understanding of the purpose and function of various types of testing (Unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and operational acceptance tests) is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor systems test activities associated with HPC system capability activities.
  • Prepare and review compliance matrix associated with test activities.
  • Coordinate the integrated test schedule across stakeholders.
  • Represent the HPC program equities at HPC capability stakeholder test meetings.
  • Monitor HPC contracts testing requirements to ensure compliance by vendors and that appropriate annotations are recorded in program documentation as test events are successfully concluded.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communications mechanisms to discuss progress, address issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Liaise between the vendor, integrator, development and testing teams to ensure effective communications.
  • Identify information gaps and provide recommendations to address them.
  • Track testing activities across different project phases.
  • Monitor test case execution and track progress against the test plan.
  • Ensure defects are documented, prioritized, tracked and resolved.
  • Provide stakeholders with updates on testing activities.
  • Capture, document, and promulgate testing lessons learned.
  • Triage, prioritize, and summarize issues reported during testing.
  • Facilitate issue resolution by collaborating with teams, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations on test scope definitions, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Review test plans and test cases to ensure they are well-defined, relevant, and feasible.
