About The Position

Roxtec Inc. is seeking a Test & Certificate Engineer to ensure the technical integrity of products through comprehensive testing, certification, and verification processes. This role involves creating and maintaining product certification/approval documentation, monitoring applicable standards, and serving as a liaison to testing facilities and certifying organizations. The ideal candidate will schedule and witness tests, develop and implement testing procedures, and participate in analyzing product deficiencies and production problems, initiating corrective Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and executing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Additionally, the role includes developing and delivering new employee onboarding training, providing technical assistance to internal and external customers, participating in product development initiatives, and engaging in industry standards and technical committees. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with hands-on tasks, including using power and measuring tools, setting up rigs, executing experiments, capturing data, and summarizing findings. The role also involves handling inspections and troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, verifying, and re-testing until issues are resolved. The candidate must be comfortable traveling to labs, plants, and customer sites, and possess strong technical/mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, specs, standards, codes, and test reports. Clear communication, tight collaboration, and organized follow-through are essential to keep projects moving and stakeholders aligned.

Basic understanding of drafting and familiarity with ANSI and ASME standards.
Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, fire protection, or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Autodesk.

Nice To Haves

Experience in product testing/certification preferred.
Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) preferred.
Experience in international projects and cross-cultural communication preferred.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain product certification/approval documentation.
Monitor applicable standards for modifications, addendums and updates that may impact certifications/approvals for Roxtec products.
Serve as liaison to testing facilities and certifying organizations.
Schedule and witness tests of Roxtec products by appropriate testing facilities.
Develop and implement procedures for testing and certifying Roxtec products.
Participate in analyzing product deficiencies and production problems and initiating corrective Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
Develop and deliver new employee onboarding training.
Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers.
Take part in product development initiatives
Participate in industry standards and technical committees.
