Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership experience within the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of TSO testing principles and experience with TSO test article requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with the assembly and/or design of commercial aircraft seating.
  • Hands-on experience leading process improvement workshops (Kaizen)
  • 2D and 3D CAD experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel formulas and conditional formatting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of computer algorithms for automation software development
  • Technical Writing Skills

Responsibilities

  • Review scope of work to estimate labor requirements for preparing seats for structural testing.
  • Plan and schedule labor to support business needs and priorities.
  • Work intimately with Engineering team to promptly resolve design and or assembly issues.
  • Ensure successful completion of the assigned projects within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Participate in defining engineering approaches and adherence to standard work and procedures.
  • Provide daily status updates to upper management for all projects currently in work.
  • Create or revise procedural documents as necessary to remain in compliance with FAA regulations and AS9100 standards.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
