About The Position

The Test Bay Tech is responsible for conducting final truck assembly inspection prior to the truck leaving the premises. This role ensures all systems are fully functional, defects are identified and corrected, and units meet company quality standards before release. The Test Bay Tech works closely with Production and Quality to resolve issues efficiently and maintain on-time delivery commitments. This position falls under the company’s safety-sensitive category, requiring successful candidates to comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy, and are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.

Requirements

  • Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy.
  • Subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to test and verify operation of hydraulic systems including cranes, compressors, and hydraulic-driven water pumps.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues including 12-volt lighting and control systems.
  • Proficiency in executing final test procedures using checklists or digital tools.
  • Ability to accurately record and verify component serial numbers, pressure settings, and test results on test documentation.
  • Skill in identifying defects and collaborating with Production and Quality to ensure all issues are corrected.
  • Ability to coordinate with Production, Quality, and other departments for efficient workflow and timely completion.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills for relaying test results, issues, and status updates to supervisors and relevant teams.
  • Ability to identify recurring issues and provide feedback to improve build quality and test processes.

  • Communicates test results, issues, and status updates clearly and in a timely manner to supervisors and relevant teams.
  • Supports continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and providing feedback to improve build quality and test processes.
  • Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
