Test Automation Engineer
About The Position
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test solutions for web, API, and mobile applications. Implement AI-assisted automation using tools such as Windsurf and Katalon Studio AI Assist to improve automation efficiency and reduce script development time. Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Katalon Studio, and other modern automation frameworks. Champion Shift-Left testing practices by enabling automated smoke testing during pull requests and throughout the software development lifecycle. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins to provide continuous feedback on application quality. Create and maintain automation standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices across engineering teams. Support multiple product teams with automation strategy, framework implementation, and troubleshooting. Analyze test execution results, identify quality risks, and communicate findings to technical stakeholders. Collaborate with software engineers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to improve application quality and testability. Continuously evaluate emerging AI-driven testing technologies and recommend improvements to the automation ecosystem.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proven experience designing and developing automated testing frameworks for enterprise applications.
- Expert-level experience with: Playwright, Katalon Studio, Selenium, Sauce Labs, Micro Focus ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).
- Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Experience automating both UI and API testing.
- Strong programming and scripting skills.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using AI-assisted development or automation tools such as Windsurf and Katalon Studio AI Assist.
- Experience implementing Shift-Left testing strategies.
